Kiran Bedi - Kiran is india's first and highest ranking woman officer and a leader in policing and prison reform. She held the post of Director General at the Bureau of Police Research and Development until 2007. Kiran worked with the United Nations in New York as the Police Advisor to the Secretary General in the Department of Peace Keeping Operations and is the winner of Ramon Magsaysay Award (also called Asian Nobel Prize). She is the founder of two NGOs, Navjyoti and India Vision Foundation, which reach out to thousands of under -served children, women and men in the areas of education, vocational skills, environment, counseling, and health care to the urban and rural poor.
Chesa Boudin - Chesa is a lawyer, a writer and lecturer, focused on the criminal justice system in the United States, and Latin American policy. A Rhodes Scholar, he graduated from Yale Law School in 2011. After law school Chesa clerked on the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit for the Honorable M. Margaret McKeown. He is currently a Liman Fellow at the San Francisco Public Defender. He is the author of books and scholarly articles on topics ranging from Latin American politics to the rights of children with incarcerated parents.
